Student Life Spotlight: Kirsten Inuman Liaz

Hello Gators! Today’s Spotlight is all about Kirsten Inuman Liaz! Kirsten is a senior studying Physiology and will be graduating in Spring 2015!

Kirsten is one of the board members for the organization Medicine, Education, Diversity, for Low Income Families Everywhere (MEDLIFE). She participates in basic science and clinical research outside of school but at SFSU she works in Dr. Vredenburg’s Amphibian Biodiversity and Conservation Laboratory.

We are thrilled to share an inspiring story of her accomplishments through perseverance, adversities and her passion of commitment to serving the community.

Queer Shorts at SF State: Films in celebration of National Coming Out Day

Queer Shorts at SF State brings together five filmmakers who either currently teach in the Cinema Department or who are alumni of the university. The films celebrate the rich heritage of LGBT themed filmmaking at SF State.



This Saturday, September 20, SF State will be at the center of the Northern California Model United Nations community. Golden Gate Model United Nations is San Francisco State University’s first full colligate Model UN conference.



Did you know that class registration will be a little bit different for Fall 2014? SF State is in the process of upgrading their student information systems, which means that the Fall 2014 class schedule and registration system have been moved to new location.



CockTales is a variety show produced by the Men Can Stop Violence team at SF State’s SAFE Place. The show first debuted in 2009 as an indirect intervention to address sexual violence and violence prevention.

All year long, Associate Students Inc. have been diligently working to represent the students of SF State by making the big decisions that keep our campus running. The AS student governing board deals with all sizes of issues from budgets and transportation to big picture topics like the merger of ASI and The Cesar Chavez Student Center.
